For me, this workaround is acceptable (it also disables evdev):

Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "AutoAddDevices" "false"

However, that report also incorrectly states that this issue is limited to intrepid to intrepid. I believe that it's seen on an intrepid NX client connecting to any other host. In my case, I see it with NX client connecting to a server running RHEL4.
