About that volume control applet, when you move the mouse on the applet and change the volume with the help of the mouse wheel (so without clicking on the applet to make the slider appearing), do you have the tooltip with the volume percent value appearing ?
Since I'm using Interpid, that tooltip appears only as in usual case: leaving the mouse steady on the control some time. I think useful to be informed of the percent value as soon as it changed without having to wait for some time when the slider is not appearing.
