Nicolò, I've seen your proposed a patch againg eglibc upstream, just a couple of questions:
1) did you compared the locale data for it_IT (and it_CH, of course) provided by eglibc with the one in glibc? any difference? in case, any hope to "backport" the patch/fix from eglibc to glibc?
2) there is another long date issue in those locale date for Italian: the usage of : in time specification. It's a common misbehavior, the historical separator is the "." (BTW, note that it should be, for example, "20.13.21,965182530", not "20.13.21.965182530"). Could you please update your patch accordly?
