It's fine to point such out, even like in this case it's not actually bug.

The logic behind the two different responses is that if you are targeting / you most probably want to access the Images API and redirect "300 Multiple choices" is correct. On the other hand if you query directly to /versions you likely really just wanted to query the available versions in which case 200 is correct response. Hopefully that makes sense.
