One additional set of comments:
We did a similar test on the WHOSIS production system and that worked fine - we used the same mondrian parameters as WHOSIS (provided by Jiri) on the GHO and reran the test - performance was pretty bad - since caching was turned off, the database was being clobbered, and the system still ran out of memory after about 350 queries
