I like the SeaDragon web export feature a lot, because it allows me to share the network with other users without the need of installing Gephi on their machines. However, for larger networks, a search function is a must. I recently saw an example where SeaDragon export can be made searchable by creating an X,Y coordinate file as per SeaDragon's coordinate system, and taking the user to that coordinate for that node. Here's that example: http://cpan-explorer.org/category/authors/

I exported my network in a gexf file, then normalized the X,Y coordinates according to SeaDragon's specifications, then copied the javascript from cpan-explorer example, and I have a web-based network with a search function.

It would be great to have all this built-in the SeaDragon web-export plugin, so Gephi users can have a search enabled network right out of the box. And if I can piecemeal this together, I am sure Gephi programmer's can add this feature.
