I always thought what the original poster was experiencing was the kernel bug over at http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9147 , which is now being handled over there.

Then again, the keys that are getting stuck seem to vary between different systems, so who knows.

At any rate, good luck sorting it out to everybody who's still having problems – Perhaps what we really need in the end is one big, dirty hack to just release all the stuck keys.
