I had an experience similar to Franzmaximilian's. On a new Hardy install, the keyboard would be fine until I enabled the wifi interface, and then it would immediately start repeating or have very long (30 sec) latency between keystrokes.
I resolved this by changing the wifi nic. I removed the Netgear WG311 (with the notorious ACX111 chipset) and replaced it with a Linksys WMP54G, did a fresh install, and everything worked right out of the box...no kb issues and the wifi works flawlessly with NetworkManager.
