It's clear that long pressing in the gallery is a method for selection. However, visually it is not clear why, in the event overview, long press moves into a selection mode, whereas on the album overview say, long press launches a contextual menu.
We should use the 'select' item in the bottom edge toolbar as the only way to enter 'selection mode' on the event overview (See "1b" https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/document/d/1hycDyhx7H7BhQ5dmGXnxqfUR-njm4tyCtNddC4D-qmU/edit#heading=h.86ayp1710huh). Long press over a photo individually, where it previously would enter selection mode, should launch a contextual menu, with "Share" and "Delete" (just as happens on an album in the album overview https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/document/d/1hycDyhx7H7BhQ5dmGXnxqfUR-njm4tyCtNddC4D-qmU/edit#heading=h.uk86myqrajn5)
