Fuel granular deployment has custom testing framework for pre-/post- checks at live environments, see https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-library/blob/master/deployment/puppet/osnailyfacter/modular/test_common.rb.
This is similar to the serverspec or beaker, but is a custom and must be documented in the dev docs and ops guide.
