Do we really need to update python-debian instead of use current version from ubuntu?

apt-cache policy python-debian
python-debian:
  Installed: 0.1.21+nmu2ubuntu2
  Candidate: 0.1.21+nmu2ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 0.1.21+nmu2ubuntu2 0
        500 http://ru.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I am asking because there are packages which depends from it:

apt-cache rdepends python-debian
