Please also on affected master node provide an output for ls -ld /var/log/remote/* | awk '{ print $11 }' | sort | uniq -d

There is known issue with broken log rotation due to wrong symlinks created for some ".bak" directories https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1428150
