Sounds like it might be a flashback of the different color depth resume issue. If the color depth of Linux and windows differs NX doesn't resume. Only problem was it was so picky it wouldn't resume a 32bit color (windows) on a 24bit Linux (really 32bit, but Linux reports as 24bit). I have Windows as well, so I can test it.
