Mozilla already does this sort of thing. All the release candidates for security releases are announced through the mozilla.announce-prerelease newsgroup on news.mozilla.org, also available by Google Groups at
  http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.announce.prerelease/topics
and also by email via the mozilla-announce-prerelease mailing list at
  https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/announce-prerelease
Alternatively you can you get that info (and more) on the web at
  http://developer.mozilla.org/devnews/
or even pull the RSS feed from that.

Any problems with Yahoo should be handled in another bug please.
