Indeed BT would rock as a core transfer protocol under Firefox.

I even created a mockup to how a BT transfer could look in the download box.

How I imagine it:

* User clicks on a link and it acts like a HTTP download
* Firefox tells the user how fast its coming down and going back up as well now
* Bittorrent *ONLY* uploads while a user is downloading
* There is a new link for BT downloads called "Support" which will keep seeding
the download until it has uploaded 100% of the download
* There should be new options in the prefs panel for auto-support, rate limiting
the uploads and possibly turning off uploading altogether
* As you can see it would for all intents and purposes look like a HTTP download
with a few minor differences

I think this would be the easiest and simplest way to implement in terms of user
participation and UI bloat. There is one extra data field and one extra link for
an extreme improvement in functionality.

I really think its something to aim for in 1.1
