Are you sure it's only a X-server/driver issue? Even on WinXP FF3 is way slower than FF2, though, it's not nearly as bad as it is under Linux...

I don't have any desktop effects in place.

I'm getting the feeling that Mozilla just ignores this bug. Can someone proof me to be wrong, please? Or, how, as a user, can I help?
