Ben, I'm sorry to say this issue is showing itself again, I'm now running the latest F12 bits, kernel-2.6.32.10-90.fc12.x86_64, xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.15-21.20091105gite1c2efd.fc12.x86_64.

I'm probably going to move on F13 soon so I will be able to say if the same happens there.
