I do see "- ADF scan support for HP LaserJet Pro{M1212nf, M1213nf, M1217nfw} MFP devices" in the changelog now, actually, but as I wrote, still hitting the bug.
I think one thing may have changed - the error doesn't completely break usage of the printer until the next reboot, as it used to. You can try the multi-page scan over and over and just get the same error, and you can do a single-page scan, or a print, and it will work. But the ADF scan still never works, no matter how much you try :(
