There also seems to be some confusion about the scope of this bug: This bug (and the corresponding upstream bug) is *not* about using evolution on a netbook with a 1024x600 screen resolution! For those screens, the evolution express mode exists (up to and including ubuntu 10.10), i.e. start evolution with "evolution --express" (done automatically when using Ubuntu Netbook edition)
