Arg ... you misunderstand me, which is surely my fault for not explaining well enough what I meant.

I don't care, as a user, how strict the visible hierarchy actually is. I care that my home library has put together a collection of shelving locations that highlight something I care about -- and I'm perfectly OK with that collection including things from other physical buildings!

Anyway, I'm probably just making things less clear. Feel free to toss that in whatever evidence pile you like. I know what the feature can do, and how it can be used, and what uses people already have planned for it, and yet, as a user, it still satisfies me and I would be happy to be a patron-user of it.
