Seems like a good idea; I'm just sorry that X12 does not seem any more elegant than EDIFACT.
Does anybody know of a list of materials providers that support and/or mandate X12 for their EDI messages?
The specific example of Midwest Tapes suggests that whether to use X12 or EDIFACT might not be an attribute of the EDI profile as a whole, but profile + message type.
