There does not appear to be a convenient way to add a maintenance message to the Angular staff catalog as there is in the Bootstrap and Template Toolkit catalogs. Such a message would be a handy wat to communicate upcoming downtime or other important information to staff who may not get nor read emails.

It would be useful if such a message could appear on the staff client splah page as well.
