Bug Description

Evergreen versions: 3.2.10, 3.4.2, 3.5.2, 3.6.1, current master (likely also 3.3.x)
OpenSRF versions: 3.1 and 3.2
PostgreSQL version: 9.6.20 and 10.15 N/A

Since the release of Chrome 88, scripts are no longer able to close windows or tabs that were not opened by scripts. This has led to reports from catalogers of the Save & Exit button of the Volume/Copy editor no longer closing the tab, though it does save the copy data.

Experimentation has shown that the button works if the editor is accessed from the Holdings View or via the Add Holdings button.

If the "edit" link next an item's barcode in the copy list/table is used to access the editor, then the Save & Exit button does save the information but does not close the tab.

This behavior has been observed with Firefox 84 as well as with Chrome 88.

I am attaching a small patch that seems to resolve this issue on Evergreen 3.2.10 and 3.5.2.

While this behavior has also been observed with an installation of Evergreen from the master branch using the Angular staff catalog, this patch does not work to resolve the issue there. A different patch will be required for the new catalog.

The patch was also not tested on master with the classic catalog.

The attached patch is shared under the same terms as Evergreen, the GPL v 2 or any later version.
