So could one say that the bug is essentially where Digital Bookplate search option doesn't appear consistently in Chrome for either staff client or the OPAC? And I'm still assuming you have the relevant library setting set to TRUE.

As Mike noted above, the wonky OPAC display with no header/footers happens when you're logged into the staff client and then go to the OPAC in the same browser. (At that point, Evergreen automatically sign the staff account into the OPAC.) Could you try testing this bug where it does manifest by opening/logging in the staff client in one Chrome browser window, and then try creating a new Incognito Chrome browser session and looking at the OPAC then? I'd be curious to see if there's still an issue in the OPAC display, or in further testing, if it would change if a regular patron account logged in.

Sidenote: Evergreen is officially supported on Chrome and Firefox web browsers, but not for others e.g. Seamonkey.
