Since upgrading to 3.1.6 not being able to see changes in Item Status is frustrating for all users.

We echo the preferences documented by others:

1) Items in the item status screen just get updated, and do not receive duplicate rows, or
2) Items in the item status screen get a duplicate entry, but there is a clear visual cue to identify the changes

A checkbox to control the behavior would work nicely.
