When we were working on requirements for moving course reserves to Evergreen, we also created requirements for the ability to store and revert copy parameters (circ modifier in addition to copy location). The requirements may be helpful for this bug - http://masslnc.org/node/3181#Feature:_The_ability_to_create_temporary_copy_parameters_and_to_restore_permanent_parameters

These requirements don't include an expiration date, but it probably wouldn't be difficult to incorporate it.
