Hi Dan and Kathy,

I am leaning toward the orange for overdue and red for long overdue items. In our consortium it's not uncommon for patrons to owe a large number of small fines for still checked out overdue items, but also have long overdue items, most commonly fewer in number than the overdue. The sea of red for the overdue items can make it harder for staff users to focus on the long overdue.

I'm not sure how libraries that don't use long overdue would take to the new orange color for overdue, but in our consortium, it would be helpful for staff.

Attaching a couple of screenshots. This one is the bills screen for a patron with many overdues, a few long overdue, and a lost item from the xul client.
