Another fun thing is if you end up with "hanging" transits, i.e. an old, incomplete transit hanging around on a copy. I don't know how this happens, but it seems to occur on our system with some frequency. Staff will sometimes abort those old transits without first checking the status of the copy. We've had a few checked out copies end up in reshelving status without closing the circulation that way.
