Comment 26 for bug 1304462

Is this something that is worth to be pushed into 2.6? FWIW, I am finally migrating to 2.6 in two weeks and I can try to re-work the code, where/if necessary, to work on 2.6 and can push to a working branch for review. Though this functionality might not be the type of feature that is normally back ported, unlike say major bug fixes. Thanks in advance for humoring my question.
