Request for Improvements to the Patron Requests UI

Within the Patron Requests interface of the Acquisitions Module (Acquisitions-> Patron Requests), it would be great to see some improvements to this portion of the UI.

When staff members create a new patron request, they initially enter the patron’s barcode. Once the request is saved, staff can then double click within one of the cells to edit the request. Within this portion of the interface, the User dropdown menu populates with a list of user ids (a.k.a. database ids), and it does not accept patron barcode values (at least not from my testing). For the User field, it may be more helpful for it to read User ID (or Database ID). I do not know if this distinction would help some users. Or, perhaps, User could display the patron barcode instead of the user id. Maybe completely disable the ability to edit that field (similar to PO Line Item field) or just disable the dropdown menu feature for that field and require the user to type/scan a new barcode, if they truly want to make that edit?

When selecting the link to the request (click on the title of the request), it would be nice to see that User value actually link to the patron’s account. Additionally, it would also be great if the PO Line Item value linked to the PO containing that line item. However, I recognize that this is probably only meant to be a static view of the request.

Also when creating a request, the Pickup Library field displays the library names in the dropdown menu. However, when the user goes into the link and views the Pickup Library, the value is represented by the organization’s id. It would be a great help to users if the actual name of the Pickup Library were displayed in this portion of the interface.
