Black color instead of texturing

Bug Description

Most surfaces in the game - including the Tux skin - get simply black color most of the play time - there are short time intervals when everything gets colored correctly. It seams that the bug appears in all the versions I tried - now the svn trunk version. This bug appeared in ppracer too, but not in original tuxracer (as I remember).

GeForce 7600GS, Mesa's OpenGL, Gentoo Linux.

The problem is partially solved now. I think texturing problems occured because of my disabled fog: "set disable_fog true" - obviously, it is a side effect... And the attached screenshot can possibly help solving it: the only objects which are textured normally are very near to the camera. I checked various other parameters but it seems that only "disable_fog" affects this effect.... Apart from texture problems, there are another effects: for example, terrain env map seems not to be working too. By enabling fog: "set disable_fog false" everything returns to the normal working state.
