I tested this out and can confirm it. I guess there is just no check in the UserInterface for the home action to not do anything if a user is already on the home screen.

The lettering left over is the ghosting issue and is not directly related to the bug report. Given enough time to fully transition, I don't think that there is ever left over text. I tested this out specifically just to verify my belief. I was able to recreate the ghosting, but I never ran into it unless I hit h too fast and repeatedly.
