Bug Description

First, my specs Asus H87I-Plus motherboard, Intel 4690k cpu, MSI 4GD5 GTX 970(this is going to come up later), 8GB Ram, Running OS Freya.

Ethernet stopped working after I...

1st installed graphic card (this didn't effect my ability to connect to the internet

2nd did a clean install with graphic card in system. I've been unable to connect to the internet while running OS Freya. I connect just fine when I boot into Windows 7, so it's not a hardware issue.

OP, can you please edit your post to remove unnecessary or irrelevant information. I'm having trouble narrowing down exactly what the issue is here. Is this a problem related to specific hardware?

I've updated the original post.

After installing a new graphic card I'm now unable to access the internet through a clean install of Freya OS.

I consider it a bug because when I start an install with the onboard graphics (intel 4600) driving the monitor, the ethernet/internet is accessible during installation. If I try to do the install with the GTX 970 driving the monitor I'm unable to access the ethernet/internet.
