Unfortunately, the people from Ubuntu don't care much about security. That is very good to hear though about th eohter bits. I'll give more detailed information when time permits, very busy this next two weeks.

I am using checksec.sh and I would not expect most of these to be false positives, it's a pretty solid tool.
