I'd add that I just tried installing eina-player this morning and have seen the same behavior.
Also using 11.04 64-bit, with Gnome instead of Unity.
I manually set the plugins key (using gsettings) to [ ], but it gets reset as soon as I start the client again, suggesting there's a default setting somewhere it may be pulling from (?)

The libcanberra error may be a red herring; it's addressed elsewhere with varying degrees of "just make the error message stop" responses. Though in the cases I've read it doesn't appear that the error corresponded with display/interface problems.
