Constantin, to fix the error you see in your comment #26, delete the file duplicity-full.20130307T152041Z.vol1001.difftar (note how there is no .gpg after it). To see instructions for manually recovering, see https://live.gnome.org/DejaDup/Help/Restore/WorstCase (especially near the bottom).
