I see same error message in dmesg with kernel 3.11-rc5 when my notebook is suspending or hibernating. But suspend and hibernate working fine. I have Radeon HD 6470M card.

dpm package = Disk Pool Manager
The dpm you are referring to is Dynamic Power Management, which is part of the kernel.

Mohd Imran Jamadar, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page (not the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags:
kernel-fixed-upstream
kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For example:
kernel-fixed-upstream-3.16-rc7

This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags:
kernel-bug-exists-upstream
kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your understanding.

Trusty is the very first linux Distro that i am using full time in place of Windows 8.1, which i replaced in favor of Ubuntu, so i cannot be sure about this issue, also the hardware i am running Ubuntu is different from what i had used Ubuntu on.

Mohd Imran Jamadar, for regression testing purposes, could you please test 12.04.0 via http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/12.04.0/ and advise to the results?

I like to clarify, this would be a side by side or a VM install? And how to reverse such a setup after regression analysis is done?

Mohd Imran Jamadar, if the problem is reproducible in a live environment, then that would be fine. As this is a HW dependent issue, a VM would not make sense here.

As requested, i have tested on live image, but was unable to reproduce the issue on ubuntu-12.04.3-desktop-amd64, have attached, few files taken from regression tests.

Mohd Imran Jamadar, the next step is to fully commit bisect the kernel in order to identify the offending commit. Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection ?
