This may be the same behaviour or not.

Ubuntu 9.04 Drapes 0.5.2-1ubuntu2

I tried adding my entire home folder for monitoring of backgrounds and Drapes locked up. I xkill-ed it.

After purging and reinstalling it twice, it won't start anymore.
