I am confirming this. It is really annoying. This should not happen. KDE components should not have dependency on components like NFS.
Can someone please fix it urgently.
Environment: Debian Unstable, KDE 4.2.2
Problem: When NFS mounted and unplug cable plasma process reports "disk sleep". Any part of Plasma is not responsive.
