Bug Description

The target for minimize animation is not the docky icon instead it is the coordinate of mouse pointer when the minimize button is pressed . This behavior occurs randomly . Sometimes it is correct but sometimes not.
But when it occurs it can be fixed by simply reordering that icon in docky.
See attached video for this .

Yea, I have the same problem, and can not find a workaround yet.

I also have the same problem. I don't think this is a duplicate of bug 495065.

Umm this is NOT A DUPLICATE of that bug, its not even close, who the hell marked it as so? this bug has nothing to do with window previews, its talking about when you minimize a window it will minimize to where you clicked the minimize button instead of to the dock icon.

I marked it as such, because it is.

Thank you for showing your ignorance of how Compiz works. Sure, you are observing the problem in 2 different ways but it *is* the same problem.

Compiz is given (for each icon) a region. It uses that region for multiple things, among them it will show a preview if the mouse enters that region and it will also use that region as the target of the minimize animation.

Docky sometimes screws up maintaining that region for some icons. Thus you observe it (sometimes) in these 2 ways.
