I'm running 9.04 on Acer Aspire One and also see the same issue. It's interesting that once I try to suspend using GDo, I can't suspend until I kill it. If I relaunch it I can suspend via keyboard or other methods, just not through GDo. Hope this helps. My File and Folder index has about 5,000 files.
