Bug Description

To put it mildly the dmedia icon sucks bigtime. In a project that aspires to be great every detail matters and you want every bit polished to perfection.

Attached you will find my suggestion for a new dmedia logo. Its in .svg format and designed to scale from 16x16 to infinity.

Hope you'll like it and include it in Dmedia.

I agree that the large Dmedia icon needs work. For reference, I designed the original icon as an indicator icon only. Although we currently use the same icon in the panel, this was just a stop gap. Your proposed icon could replace what's in the panel, but not the indicator.

Anyway, I think the gradient and shadows are definite improvements. However, I don't like how thick the grey boarders are in your version... feels too heavy to me, and is too big a departure from the indicator. I don't think we should try to design this icon to look passable from 16x16 to infinity. Instead, I think it should be designed to look great in the launcher at the default size.

If you rework this to keep the proportions of the indicator icon, or at least stay a lot closer too it, then I'll merge this.

Also, if you want things quickly reviewed and possibly accepted... I recommend not starting the conversation with, "current X sucks bigtime" :)

Cheers!

First off i must appologize. I didn't mean to insult.

As for the scalling thing i somehow disagree. But anyway thats just a different opinion and this is not the place to discuss this i think.

Attached you will find a second icon based on your original in terms of proportions. It might even work as an indicator also but thats up to you. The small text detail can be easily removed and if you wish something to be done in another way just let me know.
