I am very grateful for your attention and kindness. But I should note, that before trying "sudo", I tried all possible options without sudo. I followed your instructions, and had to purge the zeitgeist. The command given "mv ~ / .local / share / zeitgeist ~ / .local / share / zeitgeist .old" doesn't work because Mint doesn't allow paths with spaces ( then it would have to be /root/.local/share/zeitgeist ) but I'm just pointing this out to show that Mint is squeamish. The option to reinstall the latest version of Diodon is not feasible, as there is no support for the current version of Mint (20 Ullyana, based on Ubuntu Focal Fossa -- And maybe that's why you haven't found anything ) However, purge and reinstalling zeigeist did it for now, but it still needs to start as "screen -d -m diodon", and I need to see how long it works. As I said before, every time Diodon stops starting after some unpredictable time, but usually weeks.
Finally, since you're still working on the problem, there's something that might help: The Melange warning I mentioned (""ReferenceError: diodon is not defined" ) I googled the Mint support forums, and I heard that the same kind of error occurs with Appimages ( another thing that doesn't work in Mint ) But in this case, there is a consensus that the problem is that the Appimage packages are not recognized as executables, no matter how many times the user resets its properties to executable - - either via terminal, GUI, or whatever -- That is, the problem with Diodon in Mint, it could also be that it is not recognized as a valid executable without sudo. I sincerely hope this helps you ! Good job , and Happy New Year, Sao-sama !
