That's exactly what is happening. Now I understand the loop that's going on. I don't like primary selection enabled for a number of reasons, but if it's enabled by default (I can't remember), this is why it worked the first time.

Is Ctrl-V hardcoded somewhere in the system and in Diodon? Or can it be changed in the system? If it can, Diodon might read the current shortcut and use it for pasting where Ctrl-Insert is not available.

Let's say I can change the system's Ctrl-V to Cltr+Alt+V. Diodon would use that newly defined shorcut instead of Ctrl-V where Ctrl-Insert can't be used. That would avoid the loop.

Yes, I'd love Diodon to become my only pasting mechanism.
