3) What is expected to happen is when one tries to open attach file at the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/661585/+attachment/1695911/+files/2.%20FR-APL-02%20ASSESSMEN-Mencari%20dan%20Membuat%20Paket%20Produk%20dan%20Jasa%20Pariwisata.doc && lowriter -nologo 2.\ FR-APL-02\ ASSESSMEN-Mencari\ dan\ Membuat\ Paket\ Produk\ dan\ Jasa\ Pariwisata.doc

it does not crash or hang.

4) What happens instead is LibreOffice Writer & openoffice.org-writer always hangs when open it.

WORKAROUND: Open in Abiword at the Terminal: cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/661585/+attachment/1695911/+files/2.%20FR-APL-02%20ASSESSMEN-Mencari%20dan%20Membuat%20Paket%20Produk%20dan%20Jasa%20Pariwisata.doc && abiword 2.\ FR-APL-02\ ASSESSMEN-Mencari\ dan\ Membuat\ Paket\ Produk\ dan\ Jasa\ Pariwisata.doc
