Let's revisit this for Juno. We just need one production-ready backend that we can gate on. It probably won't be mongo because the gate only supports a pre-TTL version of MongoDB.

Let's also explore an out-of-band/3rd-party CI setup that can test mongodb and do benchmarks, etc. that are out of scope for the OS gate.
