Hello Michael,
I am a novice at Linux and probably need a step by step procedure to complete your request. I am sending 2 attachments one screen shot with backup error and another of all the Deja-Dup files on the system. There does not seem to be a /tmp/deja-dup.log file.
The backups worked well for two years until I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 two weeks ago. I am backing up to a second hard drive (internal) which is readable, encrypted and has plenty of free space.
Hope this is helpful?
Thanks for your quick response.

ahart01, does this look like you are getting hit by bug 569418?
If so, let me know, and I'll mark it as a duplicate. If not, please
give me this info:
1. The file /tmp/deja-dup.log after running the following line and replicating the problem (you may want to scrub the log of any incriminating file names or details):
DEJA_DUP_DEBUG=1 deja-dup | tail -n 200 > /tmp/deja-dup.log
2. The file /tmp/deja-dup.gconf after running the following line:
gconftool-2 --dump /apps/deja-dup > /tmp/deja-dup.gconf
