I also have this bug on Debian Jessie, but note that in the settings I am excluding ~/.cache from the files to back up. If Deja Dup is testing a restore with a file from ~/.cache, it's logical that it fails. Do any of the people above also have ~/.cache excluded from the backups? If not, I'll file a new bug since this is different.
