Note the workarounds appear _not_ to work with Natty.
I upgraded and couldn't convince Natty to install -96 fully. I don't recall the exact message, but I think it suggested it couldn't satisfy the package dependencies.
When I install 185 as in comment #9, the driver doesn't appear to recognize the hardware.
