I have had this problem for a long time, in different ubuntu versions, but this is the first time (Ubuntu 11.04) that I am unable to find a workaround.
Before, I used to create a script that would umount the network drives and place it at /etc/network/if-down.d. It used to work for Ubuntu 10.10, but now it doesn't anymore.
I don't think it's going to be solved anytime soon, so, any solution/workaround?
